Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Albuquerque region encompasses elevations ranging from 5000 ft above sea level along the Rio Grande river to 10,760 ft at the peak of Sandia Crest. Our mild arid climate makes it possible to run year around with little worry about the elements. As a result, we are a mecca for world class athletes who seasonally make temporary homes here. Sightings of athletes such as Paula Radcliff, Hicham El-Guerrouj, and Khalid Khannouchi abound. In addition to these visitors, elite runners including 2:08 marathoner Mbarak Hussein and two time U.S. Olympian Elva Dryer make their permanent homes here.

Runs range from pancake flat paved trails in the bosque along the Rio Grande river to rolling terrain in the desert mesas to the agony of steep inclines high in the mountains. We are starting to create directions and maps for area runs. Feel free to contact us for information
